QR Codes

CAP QR codeA QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code). The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. QR codes are readable by QR scanners on iOS devices, DER laptops or mobile phones with a camera.

Whilst originally designed for the car industry, QR codes have great potential in education. QR codes:

  • Require low to no literacy to decode
  • Eliminate the frustration of long web addresses
  • Take students directly to a designated website
