Menindee CS has made the ABC news with features about:

  • Barkindji teen’s art scholarship makes the grade at outback NSW school
  • Jade Cicak adds another mark to the history books at Menindee Central School where its art class has spawned several emerging artists.

Debbie Murray

New Principal at Dubbo School of Distance Education

Debbie Murray has been appointed to Dubbo School of Distance Education after relieving in the position for a couple of years. Debbie brings to the position deep and extensive knowledge of curriculum, having worked for many years as a visual arts teacher and leadership having worked as head teacher and deputy teacher for a significant period of her careeer.

We extend our congratulations to Debbie and wish her all the best in her role.

DE Preschool Network

The DE Preschool network met on Wednesday 28 June for a VC meeting and shared the following:

  • Schools update
  • Rural and Remote Preschool Network feedback
  • Rural and Remote Conference
  • Planning for face to face meeting to be held in Broken Hill at School of the Air.

They also discussed the professional learning they provide to the preschool parents and supervisors during phone calls, camps, pop up classrooms and on home visits.
