Huge congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Smith – Prue Warden / Smith Assistant Principal at BWSODE – Walgett Centre on the birth of their beautiful baby boy from all of us! Digby was born on Thursday afternoon 17 November, weighing in at 9.5 pounds and 53cm long.
We send our love and best wishes and can’t wait to meet the bundle of joy!
Understanding self and others
Distance Education Executive teachers from Karabar High and Queanbeyan Public Schools met to share in professional learning about whole brain thinking, personnel thinking styles and the diversity of thinking patterns and preferences within the executive team.
The executive teachers received a profile of their thinking preferences and had time to:
- Understand their thinking style and that of others
- Reflect on the diversity of thinking styles within the executive teams, and
- Discuss ways to maximise the diversity of thinking to enhance relationships, communication and team work
The professional learning was delivered by Kym Knight, Advisor Rural and Distance Education. Kym is an accreddited faciliator of the HBDI (Herrman Brain Dominance Instrument) and has presented many workshops for teachers and school leaders.
