The Boys’ and Girls’ Education Strategy (pdf 310kb) provides schools with a strategic framework to address gender as an educational issue. The Strategy is founded on current Australian research and identifies a range of effective ways in which schools can foster success for their boys and girls at school and beyond.
The Strategy identifies three integrated focus areas for schools to take action around the strategy:
- Teaching and learning
- Social Support
- Home, school and community partnerships
The document Leading the way in school and classroom practice (pdf 806kb) is an essential evidence-based professional learning resource to support schools in implementing the Boys’ and Girls’ Education Strategy. The support document provides schools with a range of practical strategies that can be used in each of the focus areas to implement the strategy.
